Come join us for an afternoon of one dozen short films at the 2019 Short Film Slam: Round IV in Philadelphia, PA. Attendees get to vote and nominate their favorite films for our top award, among an eclectic mix of genres during this tournament style showcase presented by The Madlab Post.

From an ex-cop’s web of secrets unraveling in the midwestern drama Safe & Happy to Makeba Ross’ domestic dispute drama Countervail, this program features stories about people shunning conventional rules and traditions to find the silver lining in the midst of turmoil.

A promising student film from Temple University will also be on view alongside the international documentary Life’s Short. Wear the Sparkly Earrings. about a stage and screen actress who continued performing while battling terminal breast cancer. This short film program also includes Anne, a musical inspired by the life of Anne Frank with a modern take on a love story during the holocaust, and more!

Program rating: PG-13 equivalent for violence, graphic imagery, language and some adult elements. Parents Strongly Cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
